Biografia de Birdy
¿Quién es Birdy? - Jasmine van den Bogaerde, mejor conocida en el medio artístico como Birdy, es una cantante y compositora inglesa que nació el 15 de mayo del año 1996, en Lymington, Hampshire, Reino Unido. Con tan solo 12 años ganó el concurso de talento musicales Open Mic UK. - - Jasmine van den Bogaerde, desde los siete años aprendió a tocar piano y a los ocho años empezó a escribir sus propias canciones, actualmente estudia en Brockenhurst College, un instituto sixth form. - - El nombre artístico de Birdy proviene de un apodo que sus padres le dieron cuando era tan solo una bebe, porque abría la boca como un pajarito al momento de comer. - - Birdy saltó a la fama cuando ganó el concurso de talentos musicales británicos Open Mic UK en la categoría de menores de 18 contra otros diez mil competidores. - - En una entrevista de radio Birdy hablo sobre sus experiencias en el concurso Open Mic UK, donde describió el acontecimiento como "una experiencia muy cool". - - Cuando le preguntaron a Birdy si luego de ganar Open Mic UK pensaba que podía iniciar una carrera artística ella respondió: "Eso era simplemente algo que me encantaba hacer. Nunca pensé que de verdad podría hacerlo, simplemente era mi sueño. No fue hasta después [del concurso] cuando yo pensé que era lo suficientemente buena para hacerlo.
