Biografia de Korn
¿Quién es Korn? - El funk metal es la última corriente original que ha nacido en la música de los Estados Unidos. Después del funk metal, todo ha sido volver al pasado y añorar la pureza de los tiempos del auténtico rock 'n' roll. - - Los miembros de Korn son: Jonathan Davis (cantante), Brian Welch, James "Munky" Shaffer (guitarristas), David Silveria (batería) y Fieldy (bajo) y provienen de Bakersfield, California, una ciudad ligada en la memoria musical colectiva al country de Merle Haggard y Buck Owens. - - Su estilo es la mezcla más explosiva, arrolladora y divertida de heavy metal, rap y punk funk que una mente en su sano juico pueda llegar a imaginar. - - Korn nacieron en 1993 de la fusión de dos grupos locales, LAPD y Sexart. Su carrera comenzó, como debe ser, actuando en directo, recorriendose las carreteras y los clubs y demostrando, sin trampa ni cartón, su talento y su fuerza. Su historia está llena de contradicciones y rumores absurdos, como cuando el mundo del rock alzó sus cejas escandalizado ante la noticia de que la carrera como modelo de Silveira iba a apartarle definitivamente de su taburete detrás de la batería de Korn. - - El grupo consiguió su mayor éxito con el álbum Follow the leader del 98 y estrenaron el primer single Falling away from Me, extraido de su sucesor Issues, en un episodio de "South Park", lo cual, como todos los fans de Korn saben muy bien, constituye una verdadera declaración de principios. - - Korn encabezan un tour llamado "Family Values" que atrae multitudes desde 1998: un público muy joven y fervoroso que se identifica plenamente con la música rítmica y las letras realistas y viscerales del grupo. Su actitud provocativa y nihilista ha ocasionado al grupo infinidad de problemas. Profesores y padres odian que sus hijos escuchen a Korn y todos sus discos llevan un "Parental Advisory" enorme en la portada. - - La fuerza de su música y sus arrolladores conciertos pueden más que toda las censuras y regañinas.
