Biografía de PitBull Pitbull o "Uria", cuyo verdadero nombre es Armando Christian Uria Ruiz Pérez, nació el 14 de enero de 1981 en Miami, Florida, Estados Unidos, de padres cubanos. Creció influido por el nacionalista poeta cubano José Martí y en especial por el Miami Bass rap. Hizo su debut oficial en la música en 2002 en un álbum de Lil Jon. Lleva a cabo varios mixtapes y finalmente para identificar su estilo, mezcla hip-hop y Reggaeton. En 2004, Pitbull lanzó su álbum debut M.I.A.M.I (Money is a Major Issue , que en castellano significa "El dinero es un asunto importante"). Esta primera prueba es solicitada por el público y vende más de quinientos mil ejemplares. Pitbull, desde entonces, ha publicado otros cinco(el último "Planet Pit", publicado en 2011). - - Cuando el cantante estuvo en la escuela superior de ingeniería. En esos años hacía freestyle, sin embargo, sabía que tenía que hacer algo más para sobresalir y fue que decidió tomar el rap en serio por lo que empezó a escribir canciones y pensó en decidir su nombre por el que se le conoce ahora. Al escuchar su estilo, una persona le dijo que tenía el estilo de un pitbull al momento de rapear y fue, en ese momento cuando decidió tomar ese nombre. - - Así, su inicio serio en la música se dio a finales de la década de los noventa, cuando Pitbull tuvo la oportunidad de grabar el exitoso tema Lollipop con el cantante Luke de 2 Live Crew y fue, gracias a esta colaboración que aprendió lo fundamental del negocio. En el 2002, el cantante tuvo la oportunidad de colaborar en el álbum Kings of Crunk junto a los cantantes Lil Jon y los East Side Boys y fue este material que formó parte de la segunda parte de la película Rápido y Furioso la cual se estrenó al año siguiente.
